
What is a Small Business Specialist?
EON Consulting was the first company in the state of Texas to receive the Small Business Specialist certification from Microsoft back in 2005 and renewed the certification in 2010. To achieve the Small Business Specialist (SBSC) designation, companies have to pass technical and business certification exams from Microsoft, demonstrating a proficiency in Microsoft products. Not all technology consulting firms carry the SBSC designation, but the ones who do have taken the extra step of going through the certification process to help them better asssist their customers.
Our SBSC designation also gives us additional access to support resources at Microsoft in case we encounter issues with Microsoft products that are outside of our areas of expertise. While we have a deep level of expertise in a number of Microsoft products designed for the Small and Medium Business (SMB) market, no one person or group can be experts in all aspects of all Microsoft software products, so having access to additional support resources at Microsoft is a huge benefit both to us and our customers.
Should your company choose to work with us solely because we have earned the Small Business Specialist designation? No, selecting an IT Service Provider based on a single factor is not what we would recommend. But carrying the Small Business Specialist designation is another way we demonstrate our dedication in providing the best service possible for our customers.
